Nini Molnar, Budapest born but world settled, declares her brand to be a culmination of the different passions of her life which end up reflected in her handbags.
Nini Molnar’s life has been characterized by the relentless vision of travel, fashion, design and entrepreneurship. She had always had so many ideas of her own that she wanted to bring to life, and that is how Nini Molnar brand began.
“I started sketching out the first Pombag designs, and once I had my first concept ready and launched the brand, I quit my job and that became my main focus. It’s been that way ever since!”
But Nini admits all this work can’t be done alone. Her team of professionals is what make her designs transmit what the brand really means: a kind of girl, a lifestyle, a way of life.
“For us not only the product matters but the whole energy what we signal: the positivity and confidence what comes with the brand. This is what Nini Molnar and the Nini Girls are all about”
Her bags are an extension of her passions, travels, style and personality, aimed for women who want to shine and conquer. Nini admits her big influences to be the cities she has lived in. New York, Milan, Miami or London, all show up in different pieces.
But most importantly, Nini Molnar designs are organized along three lines – Inspire, Celebrate and Retro Holiday. As Nini points out: “ Retro Holiday evokes pop art, the bright colors of Miami architecture and its active beach life, holidays in Capri and the 60s. Celebrate bags are dedicated to nights out in Milan and New York, the 70’s, disco parties and polaroid pictures! And Inspire brings together ‘90s fashion and minimalistic lines”.
But where does Nini want to reach to when developing her designs? Her aim, as she calls them: Nini Girls.
“Nini Girls is a community but moreso, a mindset. She is any woman that empowers and shines with a positive, confident attitude. I know that I’m really lucky to have such a positive attitude on life, and my goal is to share that”
But Nini Molnar is not only into handbags. Her brand is all about all the perfect accessories you can think of, includgin charms, jewelry and scarves. In fact, she has just launched her swimsuit collection inspired by retro ‘70’s suit styles and Helmut Newton’s iconic fashion photography.
Settled customer in more than 50 countries all over the world, Nini Molnar ‘s customers are engrossed in England, Hungary and the USA.
Nini’s expectations for the future don’t only have to do with her new collections from the different accessories the brand contains, but also her first brick-and-mortar store in Budapest.
“It’s complete Miami vibes, and besides my own pieces we are stocking a few of my wardrobe must-haves. Nini Girls are all welcome to visit and re-up on vintage Levi’s shorts and other Nini Beyond that, I’m excited to use the physical space as a Nini Girls enclave, where my community can meet, chill, discuss open questions and issues they face and connect”
As Nini proudly confesses, Nini girls are all over the world.
“They are not characterized by their location but they are fun, active, smart and killing it with style and a smile. These ladies care a lot about staying active and taking care of themselves and each other, but they also aren’t afraid to throw on a pair of heels and paint the town”
And that is the essence of the brand, building a supportive community where women can feel confident in theit style and comfortable in their own skin, making Nini Molnar a reflection of what this means:
